Public Notice of Vacancies for the Bozeman City Advisory Boards and Invitation to Submit Application
The Bozeman City Commission notifies the citizens of the City of Bozeman that applications are available for the board positions listed below:
Community Development Board
1 At-large Mayoral Appointment
Term expiring December 31, 2024
The application for the Community Development Board will be open until January 20, 2023.
Economic Vitality Board
2 At-large positions
Term expiring December 31, 2023
The application for the Economic Vitality Board will be open until January 20, 2023.
Downtown Urban Renewal District
2 Non-voting positions
Terms expiring June 30, 2026
1 Voting position
Term expiring June 30, 2026
The application for the DURD Board will be open until appointed.
Bozeman Downtown Business Improvement District
1 At-large position
Term expiring June 30, 2024
Applications for the Bozeman Downtown Business Improvement District Board will be open until appointed.
Perspective applicants are encouraged to review the enabling legislation that specifically identifies the individual board purpose, focus areas, duties, powers, and member composition. Applicants are also encouraged to review the established recruitment and selection, standards for communication, and norms of behavior for boards. Information is available on the Citizen Advisory Board Page (www.bozeman.net/boards) or from the Clerks’ Office by request.
Resolution 5323 – Recruitment and Selection, Standards for Communication, and Norms of Behavior
After the application period has closed, applications will be directed to the assigned interview panel for screening and scheduling of interviews.
Per Resolution 5323, “[d]uring the recruitment process, the City will focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion, and will actively work to achieve membership that reflects, at the least, the demographics of our community –   as outlined in, but not limited to the gaps analysis and equity indictors report and available census data – across all board membership.”
